The Skin.Lite range fully expresses the spirit with which we operate at Plastotecnica: an ongoing commitment to research to enhance our products by adding high technical content. In this case, although film thickness has been reduced by up to 70%, the product’s mechanical performance is maintained or even increased.
THICKNESS REDUCED BY UP TO 70%
The thickness of Skin.Lite products has been reduced down to 6 my, for different types of applications.
While decreasing the amount of material used, such reduction does not affect in any way the integrity and stability of the products to be packaged.
LIGHTWEIGHT CORES
Although their weight is reduced by up to 65% compared to standard cores, the cores used in Skin.Lite products provide the same technical performance in terms of resistance to crushing. Again a double advantage, with an increased film reel length and lower disposal costs.
INCREASED REEL LENGTH
A reduced film thickness and the use of lightweight cores allow us to obtain significantly longer reels.
Weight for weight, Skin.Lite products provide a much higher yield.
REDUCED REEL CHANGE TIME

Just in time deliveries
Many products in the Skin.Lite range are stock managed. This does not only mean you can buy just the amount you need without taking up space in your warehouse, but also that you won’t have to wait for production time, receiving the ordered product in just a few days.

Our Products
Relying on constant research and development, the Skin.Lite project is constantly evolving. Our technicians continuously work to find new applications for low-thickness films, in order to make them suitable for an increasing number of packaging requirements and types of packaging.
